We had an excellent time at Casa de Estoi, our host Catarina was around to help with our every need and she provided excellent suggestions and help to make the most of our stay in the Algarve

A special place to stay; if you are looking for a traditional Portuguese experience this is a great choice. You feel like you are living in someone's home, and there are opportunities to go to local village events; check out the local casa de povo. Catarina is ultra helpful and the breakfast is delicious. You can take a bus to Faro, or even hire bikes as we did. We would have liked a safe place for valuables (although there were no issues with security) but all the positives made up for this.

I loved this place. I would have stayed longer if I had more time. Attention by staff could not be faulted. The fact we had no hot water could not dampen the feel for the facilities. The staff were apologetic and set about fixing it however we had to move on. A stay in a Spanish village - wonderful.
