Beschreibung

Welcome to the Great Wall Box House, locates at the most traditional but non-touristy Chinese village -- Gubeikou, 120 km to Beijing. It's a 100-year-old Si-He-Yuan house among the mountain, the east-side-wall of the house is a part of the Great Wall. So our house is located in the countryside, not in DOWNTOWN Beijing.

Very nice furnitured and designed hostel with a really good atmosphere. It is very good located to the most original part of the great Wall. So recommended to hikers and nature lovers. The hostel is super clean. Only minus that there is no kitchen for use.

Easily one of the most beautiful hostels I’ve ever stayed at. It’s a bit tricky to find despite the explanations, so you might need to ask your way around in town. Once you’re there, you need to call the host because there is no bell and he wasn’t there when I wanted to check in - same thing happened to other travelers the next day. Once you’ve accomplished that, you’re at one of the more secluded spots of the Great Wall, awesome hiking, exceptional facilities and great food!
