Staff is super friendly. The hostel reopened and they are still working on fullfilling the promises in the description. The co-working space is kind of not existing yet and they do not offer yoga. The private rooms were old and okayish clean. Matresses are super unconfortable, too soft and too hard all at once.
We didnt had to pay for the kitchend and they offer free filtered water.
I think with some time it will be a super cool hostel and they are working on it.
Wifi is s*itty tho.

The atmosphere was nice there. Unfortunately we had to shorten our stay because the private rooms were smelly and not very clean. The bathrooms were mouldy and the sink didn’t work properly. One room had dirt and ants on the bed.
The staff was very friendly.

I really enjoyed staying at Surf Hostel Weligama! The hostel is close to the beach so is perfect if you want to surf. The rooms are clean. The atmosphere in the hostel is really nice, you can easily meet new people. I would definitely come back!
