We had a good stay, but it felt kind of odd. The staff didn’t really speak English but they were mostly friendly. But on our last day, we got approached multiple times and were asked for a tip - I thought it was normal, but it actually NEVER happened in any of the other hostels in India we stayed at. Also the location is very far off from anything you might want to explore in Srinagar.
