Ximbal Camping is a meeting point between travelers and backpackers, a warm place where you will feel as a family with a relaxed and fun atmosphere.
Ximbal Camping is located one minute from the 7-color lagoon and 5 minutes from the historic center. The market and the supermarket are two minutes from the hostel. In addition, the most beautiful and alternative cafes are only 3 minutes walk away .
We have space for camping, hanging hammocks and rustic rooms with private bathrooms as well as having a shared kitchen, shared bathrooms, books, a reading area and Wi-Fi. In addition, Ximbal Camping has a shared kitchen, shared and / or private bathrooms with hot water, books, a reading area and Wi-Fi. The camping area includes mats, sheets, pillows, and a fan. A continental breakfast is also available upon prior reservation of the cabin.

I really recommend searching for another Hostel in Bacalar. We booked the private room, which was basically just 4 wooden walls with a corrugated sheet roof. At night it rained pretty heavily and it was nearly impossible to sleep because of the noise from the roof. Our sheet were dirty when we arrived, pretty sure they weren’t changed. The shower and the toilets were quite dirty, but worked.
But the staff was really friendly and it‘s one of the cheapest places in Bacalar!

Staff where nice but, I payed for a room with bathroom and at first they put me in a what can only be described as a wooden box, there was at first no WiFi so, I had get a beer in another hostel to get WiFi so i could prove that I booked a double room with bathroom. I got a double room but no bathroom. So, not good enough.

Enjoyed our 3 nights here, great location & only 15 minutes walk from bus terminal. Small kitchen to cook however limited on plates and cups ect. Owner is lovely but if you dont speak Spanish you'll have to use Google translate to communicate. We stayed in a double bed hut which was lovely and cheap! Other tourists were quite messy and loud at times. WiFi really weak so we struggled to work but overall a lovely stay.
