Absolutely beautiful hostel in a great location. The facilities were amazing and the staff were so helpful and friendly. I've been to many hostels but this is undoubtable my favourite, thank you so much!

Located right next to the castle and in easy walking distance of the night life and historic district, Couch Potato is the perfect hostel for those who want easy access to the sights of Matsumoto. The hostel is a converted restaurant with beautiful décor, but can be a little noisy. However, the hostel does provide free ear plugs, which is a very kind gesture. About a ten minute walk from Matsumoto station, so a great place to stay the night before heading to Kamikochi or Norikura.
