The Fortel Hostel is located in the heart of Old San Juan. Basically everything including beaches is reachable within walking distance.
Gabriel, who was there during my stay everyday was an amazing host. I recommend everyone who wanna see Old San Juan to stay at this place.

Das Hostel ist sauber und in einer guten Lage. Der Preis ist allerdings viel zu übertrieben. Es sind kaum Gäste vor Ort und die Rezeption ist nur teilweise besetzt. Momentan fangen die Handwerker ein Haus weiter um 7 Uhr morgens an zu arbeiten. Davon wird man definitiv wach.

I can't review this hostel as my reservation was canceled without any notice to me. I had to make other arrangements after I was there and told the hostel was closed for renovations. I am disappointed that I was not notified so I could make different arrangements before I arrived. I think I should get my deposit back on this reservation. This is not my usual experience with hostelworld. I can only hope for better communications in the future.
