This hostel is near the Old Town and an underground station. 2kronor Hostel in Gamla Stan liegt in der Altstadt 'Gamla Stan', Skeppsbron 40 mit der Ostsee direkt vor der Tür. Eine bessere Lage, mitten im Zentrum der Stadt, ist schwer zu finden. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten können zu Fuss erreicht werden. Die U-Bahnstationen 'Gamla Stan' und 'Slussen' liegen ca. 300-400 Meter entfernt. Von dort aus erreicht man in wenigen Minuten den Hauptbahnhof. (Direkte Verbindung vom Flugplatz.) Direkt vor der Tür geht eine Fähre nach 'Djurgården' sowie auch viele Busslinien, Die wunderbare Altstadt von Stockholm 'Gamla Stan' hat viele schöne Cafés, Bierstuben und Restaurants. Hier wird Frühstück, Mittag- und Abendessen zu günstigen Preisen angeboten. Die bohemische Südstadt 'Söder' und das reiche Nachtleben von 'Stureplan' sind auch leicht zu Fuss erreichbar.
2kronor Hostel in Gamla Stan hat eine Kapazität von 45 Betten und bietet sich für Singels, grössere sowie auch kleine Reisegruppen an. Die Atmosphäre ist gemütlich und international. Es gibt gemeinsame Duschen und WC:s. In unseren Schlafsälen teilt man Zimmer mit anderen interessanten Gästen. Unsere Einzel- Doppel-, Dreibett- oder Sechsbettzimmer bucht man komplett. Dusche und WC:s werden jedoch mit den anderen Gästen geteilt. In unserer praktischen und gut ausgerüsteten Küche kann man Frühstück oder einfache Mahlzeiten zubereiten. Es gibt dort einen gemeinsamen Kühl- und Gefrierschrank.
Jedes Bett hat Kissen und Decke. Bettwäsche und Handtuch wird vom Gast mitgebracht. (Ist auch für 65 SEK/Set zu erhalten.) Reine Bettwäsche wird aus hygienischen Gründen verlangt. Das Benutzen von Schlafsäcken ist nicht erlaubt.
2kronor Gamla Stan ist ein Nichtraucher-Hostel.
Wir bieten unseren Gästen auch kostenloses WLAN an.
Das Hostel ist das ganze Jahr geöffnet.

So dirty!!!! Nobody has ever cleaned underneath the bed or the night stand, garbage lying around, dirt 2cm high. Curtains, walls + door have big stains on them, blood on the mattress. I kindly complained to the reception but he just looked at me and mumbled "no other room". Kitchen smelled horribly, the trash had not been taken out for a long time - neither was the trash in the hallways. Single room is so small: it is exactly the length of the bed and 30cm between side of the bed and wall.

I really enjoyed staying at Dockside Hostel. The location is absolutely perfect if you want to go anywhere in Stockholm. Of course the beds are creaky and showers and toilets aren't on the same floor but that's just how it is at a hostel. The kitchen was clean and you could have a really nice chat with the Receptionist and the other hostellers. I will gladly come back if I visit Stockholm again!

Dockside Hostel Old Town sagt
I think one of the things that puts us ahead of the rest is our location in Old Town on the same street as the Royal Palace and facing the waterfront with a view over Djurgården and Skeppsholmen. The sightseeing boats and ferries to the archipelago also leave from just down the street - you just couldn't find a better location!
Personally, I think that no one should miss out on the unique and beautiful island of Djurgården. You can either visit one of the many high quality museums like the Vasamuseum or just enjoy the beautiful surrounding park. It's like country side, but in the middle of the city! The ferry boat just outside the hostel takes you there in 10 minutes.
This is a small, family-owned hostel and we really try to make our guests feel at home. By creating a welcoming atmosphere and giving our guests advice on our personal favourites in Stockholm, I hope that we can give our guests a genuine experience of Stockholm.
I like the fact that our hostel attracts guests from different age groups and nationalities. We want to offer a place where people can meet and have fun together, but where you still should be able to get a good night's sleep.
