I wanted to stay in this hotel for a night only however when I got there I was shocked by the location (30 Minute walk from Newcastle’s centre -up a hill and through a rather rough area) and the entrance and way to my room (which made me feel like I was in a spooky hotel with flickering lights in the hallway). I did not feel safe at all especially when I couldn’t reach anyone from reception and got welcomed by a homeless man. I did not stay and until today haven’t received an answer to my email.

The staff were welcoming and helpful and the room was perfect for a short stay for one guest. The location was ideal for my work but it is only a short distance to the city centre. The main road at the front is busy but I live in a quiet village so am not used to the noise.

There was ZERO wi-fi in my room and I was told I could use the lobby, which is rude and not conducive to the work I needed to do. The rooms were old and had dirty carpet and anyone could walk into the building through an unlocked side door.
