Guanaja Backpackers Hostel

Guanaja Backpackers Hostel is located on the quiet south shore area of Guanaja island. If you are ready to start your day listening to the sound of the crashing waves and sounds of nature then you will not be disappointed here, noise disturbance is not an issue. Starting at the beach on the Caribbean shore, the property winds up the hillside covered in coconut palms and fruit trees, merging to the dense jungle foliage along the gully.

We have a large open plan kitchen and living area for guests to enjoy cooking their own meals, relax listening to our great collection of vinyl or catch up on some reading time in one of our 3 hammocks. The dormitory offers 6 bunks with an ensuite shared bathroom with shower and toilet, as well as a secondary toilet within the hostel.

There are many activities for guests to enjoy around the island such as scuba diving, snorkelling, waterfall hikes or trips to some of the cays off the island itself which we can help you plan.

Cancellation policy: 48h before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.
