Welcome to Cape Capsules Backpackers an upmarket backpackers in capsule form - right opposite East Beach - Kite Surfing Beach of Muizenberg and close to lagoon (vlei) excellent for surfing and kite surfing. We are the only Hostel / Back Packers with a 3 star rating in Muizenberg ! We welcome young & old to come and enjoy the experience; this is home to all surfers and especially to all our foreign visitors from abroad.

Each capsule is secure and lockable for privacy and security. WE have unisex dorms = In dorm one we have 6 single capsules - then in a second dorm we have 4 x double capsules for young partners on a budget, we have our Surfers Den which has one double bed and that is situated on our mezzanine floor, we also have a family room which has one double bed and one single bed this room has its own sliding door which goes out to our terrace. All our bathrooms are shared - we supply you with shower gel and hair was, double ply toilet paper and towels. We have linen in all capsules so no need for a sleeping bag. All bedding is hypo-allergenic. There is a coffee / tea station which is help yourself and we have an honesty bar which you help yourself to eats and drinks and just write up your takings and we will cash you up in the morning.

We have a Cafe on site which operates in summer months other than that we have a self catering - clean yourself Bush Kitchen, with everything you need in a kitchen - except the food which you supply yourself.

All amenities is within walking distance as well as restaurants and pubs. Tours down False Bay where you can see the penguins at Boulders Beach or a trip down to Cape Point and much more.

Plenty to do close to restaurants - pubs and shopping centres - mini golf and waterslides - great swimming beach - great film locations - walking and cycling on promenade - hiking on Muizenberg Mountain - walking distance to other beaches and tidal pools on the catwalk.

Close to KalkBay and St. James Beach - walking distance. Self catering - pool table - and darts - free wifi - outside chill areas - barbecue facility - ample parking off street. Friendly staff and Owners.

Policies & Conditions:

Cancellation policy: 24h before arrival.
Check in from 14:00 to 17:00. (Guests need to contact us to arrange a check in if arriving before or after the specific checkin time) - otherwise late book-ins will be levied by R150,00 per person
Check out from 09:30 to 10:00 .(if you leave early morning pls advise reception).
Payment upon arrival by cash, credit cards, debit cards. If deposit is paid via card there will be a 10% levy fee (or R60,00 will be added to your payment - we will refund your deposit in cash)
Taxes included.

Breakfast not included - 85 ZAR per person per day.

We offer Surfing lessons for beginners various packages available.
We have bicycles for daily rental. Full Day R250,00 and ½ day R190,00 - helmet & bicycle lock included. Deposit for Bikes are R1500,00 in cash. Which is refundable if returned in good order as received.
We do charge a key and towel deposit. - See Below.
General:-

No curfew. Unless Government institutes a curfew during Covid19.

We do not accept customers younger than 18 years of age. (Unless you are booking the family room).

Smoking allowed in certain areas.

It's imperative that you advise us of your time of arrival - you may e-mail us your arrival time.

WE CHARGE A DEPOSIT DEPENDING ON THE ROOM ACCOMMODATION YOU HAVE BOOKED.
EG Single Capsule deposit is R350,00 - double capsule is R580,00 Surfers Den is R750,00 and the family room is R850,00 - we retain R50,00 per head for Covid Clean.

DEPOSITS MUST BE IN CASH IF VIA CARD WE WILL CHARGE A SURCHARGE OF R60,00 LATE CHECK INS WILL BE LEVIEW WITH R150,00 PER PERSON. DEPOSITS MAY VARY FROM SEASON TO SEASON.
