Globe House is located very close to the city centre on a grand old street in Dunedin's Historic District. We are surrounded by many of Dunedin's oldest and grandest buildings. Globe House was originally built by a Dunedin Banker in 1901 but many buildings on our street date back well into the 1800's and financed by fortunes made in the gold fields of this region.
Quiet hours between 11pm and 8am includes use of washing machines.
Check out time 10am.

Dear Team Hostelword,
we stayed for 2 nights at the Globe House in Dunedin. Booked with your plattform.
All fotos of the Hostel are old on your plattform and half of the hostel is being used for long term stays, so not available for booking.
It is dirty and someone was sleeping in the shared livingroom/kitchen today so we couldn't use it.

i liked my stay. nice people. chill atmosphere. but be careful when you pay for your nights. look at the receipt. otherwise the guy will make you pay the deposit twice!!

If you're just staying for a night it's alright. Bathrooms were clean but kitchen dirty. The shower was a joke as there was almost no water coming out of the already broken tap. Outside looked messy and unkept. Only plus is the nice owner, the location and other fun people we met there for a night out.
