The Greenhouse Hostel can accommodate up to 22 people. There are three dorm rooms; one eight-bed dorm and two four-bed dorms, each with en-suite facilities. There is also a private room for two people with shared bathroom facilities including hot showers and western toilets. Room prices include breakfast and free Wi-Fi. Pick-up from town, bus station, shuttle station, and any airport can be arranged upon request.
The lounge area is comfortable and homely with free Wi-Fi access. The outdoor terrace has a self-service bar, TV, DVD player, games, darts, and a pool table. There are bicycles available to hire for the first hour free of charge. The garden area has space available for camping guests.
The Greenhouse Hostel is run by the non-profit organization The Green Living Planet which provides short and long-term volunteering opportunities.

We had a great stay at the Greenhouse hostel! The food was delicious, the room was quiet and clean and we felt very comfortable here! Any questions or request were answered and we got help whenever we needed. We could also leave our luggage here during trips which was awesome! Flora was such a lovely host and a great help on site!

Nice staff (staff member is really friendly!), good atmosphere, nice place to stay a couple of days and also great that they support an orphanage.
But currently the hostel is under construction so no light, a mess in the garden, fridge and internet not working, the owner was often not there.
Conclusion: Definetely go there- but after the renovation 😉

Great hostel! I stayed here before, inbetween and after my climb to Kilimanjaro and doing safari. The owner helpd me a lot organising my trips and get to all the things I needed, he's really taking care that you'll enjoy your stay in an around Arusha. The food you get is great and always fresh cooked by the staff. It's not just a hostel, it's a home!
