Personal lockers are offered in dorms to ensure safety of your valuable belongings. Full bed linen and free bath towels are ready for your use. We choose hotel-quality mattresses with pillow top which provide better comfort and enhance rest quality.
We have 5 shower rooms and 6 toilets separately. Hot showers are available 24/7. Washing machine and dryer are also available. Hair dryer is also available from reception for free. Our friendly and trained staff will be available to assist you whenever you need help.

It was my 2nd stay and I liked it better. They renewed the walls in the showers (better suitable for the damp) and I was able to sleep on the lower bed, which was more private.
There was also a Christmas tree!
Unfortunately, the rooms don't have windows and it sometimes can be difficult finding a space for your food in the fridge and in the shelves. But you have everything you need for some comfortable days.
It's close to some cool vintage shops and cafes on Karangahape Rd. and also Queen St.

Our bedroom had no window, therfore it smelled in the dorm room with no chance of airing out. Also the air coming in from a vent in the wall (probably AC) was very cold, so we were freezing during the night, there was no heater available.
Apart from that the hostel is not welcoming at all, everything is quite worn down and there is no effort to make it more comfortable. The kitchen was clean with a microwave and a cooking plate available. The bathroom, toilets and showers were older but okay.

Not awesome and you probably won’t have the feeling to stay longer. But good value and totally ok for a night or two
