The stay in the HI En Gedi was one of our highlights in Israel! A nice and clean big dorm for ourselves, beautiful landscape all around the hostel and amazing food for breakfast and dinner. The staff was memorable, too, thank you everybody for making our stay at the Dead Sea so special!

Its nice and clean, though there is no other option for staying in en gedi which is not overpriced. So good deal for one night! Close to the reserve and you get a voucher, that’s pretty good!

Nice place. But a little options for vegans at breakfast. Snacks etc. are also not available there. So be sure to bring stuff. You also have to take the bus to get around and to the dead see as there is no safe access from the hostel. Very helpful and nice stuff and clean rooms. The national reserve next is very nice and there is also a small kiosk

In Ein Gedi there is not a lot to do but we really enjoyed our stay at the HI Ein Gedi and used the opportunity to discover the beautiful Wadi David and the next day drove to Masada and the Dead Sea (really close). The HI is very nice, each dorm has its own bathroom and there is a spectacular view on the Dead Sea. The breakfast in the morning is a great buffet where you have everything from salad and hummus, Shakshuka to pastry. We really recommend staying here!

    Sehr gut

The hostel is conveniently located and provides everything you need. Dinner and breakfast were perfectly fine too. Don't expect too much in terms of atmosphere and meeting other people if you are a single backpacker. The majority of people are couples and families with children, who are there to sleep and hit the road the next day.
