very beautiful old hotel. The buildings are really impressive. The place is clean. The staff seemed a bit tired and indifferent - but were polite and helpfull when approached.

All the necessary conveniences. For the money, $100 dollars per nite including fees and taxes, I was completely satisfied. Great neighborhood. Only 2 stops by Metro Train to Convention Center. Approx $6.00 Uber ride to Convention Center. Only 17 blocks away. Trader Joes only 4 blocks away. Convenient grocery store at corner open til midnite; only 300 feet away. Clerk on duty at window 24/7. WiFi, Dining area, microwave, coffee, water, refrigerator. Chinaware, dinnerware available. Great Deal

This hotel is in a good location within walking distance of the metro and was perfect for my purposes, having someplace to rest my head for a one-night stay in D.C. I don't have a problem climbing stairs, so the fact that the hotel has no elevator was not an issue for me. I prefer staying in quirky local places rather than bland chain hotels when possible, so this fit the bill. The room and lobby were clean. The old prints on the hall walls were neat. The price, $102 inc. taxes, was great.
