The Union Square Backpacker's Hostel at 70 Derby has an excellent downtown location, a couple of blocks from Union Square in the heart of San Francisco's shopping and theatre districts. It is within walking distance to all transportation, shopping, restaurants and other famous attractions.install new heating system.for our valued guests,


The hostel is a small, clean, very friendly hostel and a great place to get a good night's sleep! We have private rooms and small dorms, free bedding and tourist information.

We have 4, 6 and 10-bed dorm rooms and also private rooms with queen beds or bunk beds. We have a community lounge, a kitchen with stove, microwave, and refrigerator and secure storage.


All private rooms have a tv facility.

And if you are looking to write some emails we offer free DSL Internet Access for all guests.

We have 24 access, however there is no Customer Service or Front Desk between 12am and 6am on any day of the week. So customers must arrive for check in after 6am.

Please note that this hostel has a 48 hour cancellation policy.from march we'll add free breakfast and weekend blockbuster movie.march 1st also you're providing weekend blockbuster movie and all tourist can have in our common room and have a party.

Directions (English):


From Greyhound:
Take 38 Geary Muni bus west and exit at Geary and Taylor. (Walgreens)
Walk across Taylor and then half a block up towards Post to Derby.

From SFO Airport:
Take the KX or 392 Samtrans into San Francisco exit at 5TH and Mission. Walk across Mission and proceed through Market. As a point of reference, Powell is on the right side. Walk through Powell for a few blocks until you see Geary.

Walk west two blocks to Taylor and turn the corner towrds Post. Half a block up will be Derby.
